With my daughter being at college, I have become much more interested in finding ways to show my love from a distance. When I first started making care packages I had no idea what I should put in them. I thought that others might appreciate some care package ideas. This Halloween care package is for my 18-year-old daughter.
Since she has 1 roommate and 4 more girls in her apartment. I sent all kinds of sweet treats. She has always been good with both her self control and sharing so I wasn't worried about going overboard with the chocolate.

Halloween Care Package Idea – Contents:
Every package is a little different depending on the year and child but these are the things I chose this time:
Ferrero Rocher (both milk and dark chocolate)
Dark Dove chocolates in a Ghost and Bat Bag
Candy corn in a Candy Corn and a Ghost Bag
Peanut M & M's in a Ghost Bag
Chocolate covered raisins in a Mummy and a Witch's Hat Bag
Chocolate covered almonds in a Pumpkin Bag
A note with personal comments on it (A phone call is good but a note can be kept and reread anytime.)

All the bags were personal designs that I sewed up for her. I have tutorials for the Witch's Hat Bag and the Ghost Bag.

I keep the outside of the box pretty plain to discourage package theft.
As a parent I want her to know I love her regardless of distance. I have found the care packages are a good way to do this.
Hopefully, this post has helped inspire you on ways to show your love from afar.
