Essential Oils
Let’s talk about the essential oils we will be using. I love how these essential oils have so many wonderful properties: anti-bacterial, anti-microbial, anti-fungal, anti-viral, and anti-inflammatory.
Lemon Essential Oil – First of all, I love the smell of lemon. Lemon oil is anti-microbial, anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, and eliminates toxins in both the air and on surfaces. The primary reason I use it in my countertop spray cleaner is that it cuts grease better than any other essential oil. Remember my microwave cleaning video?
Tea Tree Essential Oil – If I had to choose only two oils to use for the rest of my life Tea Tree Oil would be one of them, and Lemon is the other. I love that it is anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial, anti-viral, and anti-bacterial. Tea Tree Oil is great against mold and mildew and kills bacteria.
Peppermint Essential Oil – Peppermint is another anti-bacterial essential oil. It could replace the Clove oil if you do not want to use clove, or you could use them both. Peppermint essential oil is one of the most common essential oils used in kitchen and bathroom cleaners. An added benefit of peppermint oil is that it deters spiders, wasps, and mice.
