Today I am going to teach you how to clean your microwave naturally with just a lemon.
I love an easy and natural way to clean the microwave. It will make me especially happy if it is quick and effective.
I’ll assume you too have a messy microwave and are here because you are tired of scrubbing so hard to get your microwave clean. And, let me further assume you want it clean with minimal work.
Let me assure you, not only is it possible to get a sparkling clean microwave without using harsh chemicals but this is also hands-down the easiest way to clean a microwave. This makes me happy as my kids and husband frequently use the microwave and I don’t want harsh chemicals near their food.
What You Need To Clean Your Microwave Naturally
1 lemon (this is a good use of your old lemons)
water
Clean dishcloth
Instructions
Remove the microwave tray and set it aside to clean at the end. If you want this task to be even easier you can soak it in water in the bottom of your sink, but that’s not necessary as it will clean just as easily as the microwave.

Slice your lemon in half and squeeze the juice all over your microwave. Start using the halves of lemon to scrub the sides, top, and bottom of your microwave walls. (If you press on and roll the lemon on the counter first, the juice will release easier.) The lemon juice will start dissolving the “gunk” within a few short seconds.
Dip your clean dishcloth into the water so it is wet. Wipe the inside of the microwave clean starting with the ceiling and sides.
If you come across stubborn spots that won’t easily wipe away, use the lemon half and rub it over the pernicious spot again. Wipe with your wet towel once again. Repeat until the spot goes away.
While you’re wiping the microwave clean, don’t forget to wipe down the door.
Clean and replace the turntable tray and you are done.
Are you as happy as me with your beautifully clean, chemical-free microwave?
